It's funny how movements come and go. Some movements like the new age movement just vanish and you wonder if there was such a thing in the first place. And yet, I remember Larry King having Deepak Chopra, Robert Thurman, Marianne Williamson and Franklin Graham(!) on a looong time ago and they were discussing religious pluralism. Graham came across as a complete nutcase and perhaps was a bad choice for that program.
At its best, the new age movement really stood for genuine religious pluralism. At its worst, it championed regressive things such as crystals, astrology etc. I wonder why we don't see anyone from that movement coming along and challenging the Christian fundamentalists right now. Perhaps they think its a lost cause?
